Cajun Jam Session

Genres:   Cajun, Creole, Zydeco, Folk, Acoustic

In House Instruments:   Microphones & PA

Expertise:   Intermediate/Advanced

Crowd:   Medium

Description:   “The Tchinqui Tchinque continues! A jam session provides a great forum for old music pals to get together and get back to some of the great tunes we don’t always have a chance to play live. I’m talking Jolie Blonde, the Amédé Two Step, T’en As Eu, T’en Auras P’us, the Kaplan Waltz. Golden Era tunes we’ve cut our teeth on, and that are our all time classic favourites…

From Grouyan Gombo to Bayou St-Laurent, Les Flâneurs and the Winston Band: Montreal now for the first time has at least 3 awesome bands playing music influenced by South West Louisiana Cajun, Creole and Zydeco music, so we have a great pool of talent to share…In a jam we can share our different perspectives on Louisiana French music that we all came to from our different directions. That means we may break out some less widely known tunes as well… So bring all your instruments and come on down to the Barfly on the Main to join the chanky chank!” (Taken from event page)
