Description:   If you’re looking for a classic jam in Montreal: this one’s a staple reminiscent of Hillbilly Nights at the Wheel Club. This bluegrass jam has been running for 20+ years, now every Sunday at Barfly. Matt Large and Mark Peetsma are the beloved hosts, arriving each week to set up mics and start the jam – all you need is your instrument! The night welcomes banjos, mandolins, upright bass, acoustic guitars, fiddles, dobros, harmonicas, accordions, vocals… you get the idea 😉 Some instruments that aren’t welcome include: drums, electric guitars, shakers and brass.

Barfly Sundays is proud to keep the love for “wood and wire” alive. Musicians come instrument-in-hand and (typically) sign up for three songs that the band knows. Come by and check it out!
